Howdy all -

I'm an enthusiastic new Firefly fan, and I've been checking out all of the fun info and content here. Great job, all!

Also, I'm starting a Firefly D20 game with my gaming buddies. I was thinking of making some Chinese curses "flash cards" for table use.

Just now, I had an inspiration, though - are there any Chinese speakers out there who would be willing to record the correct pronunciation of Chinese phrases slowly and clearly? It would be sort of like an evil language tape...

It's hard to get the correct pronuciation from the episodes, as the dialogue passes so quickly.
I've seen links to the Chinese phrases written as text, but it would be easier to learn them by hearing them spoken...

This could be really helpful to Firefly LARPers, table top gamers, and fans in general.

Any thoughts?

Great idea!

I am trying to learn mandarin. but the most interesting phrases are all in the cursing.

YYing has been kind enough to put the phases used on firefly in a pinyingary thing. It is excellent.
