Chloe Grace Moretz talked candidly about the future of the Kick-Ass franchise. Well, she says there isn't one. Kick-Ass 3 is dead, and that's because its fans refused to pay to see Kick-Ass 2. It's simple math for the feisty ingénue, she says, "If you want more than one movie, everyone has to go and see movies at the cinema. It's all about the numbers in the theatre."

That woud be a bummer if she'z rite. But therez been quite a few box office flops lately that got sequalz anyway.

Didnt know about the Jim Carrey controversy.

Hit Girl put a bullet right between the eyes of Serenity 2 when she said, "If you want more than one movie, everyone has to go and see movies at the cinema. It's all about the numbers in the theatre."

When you look at ticket gross sales and production budgets, it is simple to see why there is no Serenity 2 after a 10 years wait. Serenity was a HORRIBLE investment.

Kick-Ass 2 cost less than Serenity, but sold more tickets, and it's not getting a sequel.

Actually, Kick Ass 1 didnt do so fantasticly well either. Better than 2, but in the same ballpark. I blame the jaded pinhed critics.

That site duznt seem to hav the disk salez for Serenity.

You shoudnt giv up hope on a sequel. Now the Joss haz a few billion+ moviez to hiz credit and Hollywood iz digging for gold in every place they can think uv, he coud get it made.

I really doubt we'd ever get to a Kick Ass 3 if they do a Hit Girl prequel. Having a different actress play Hit Girl would lose them a lot of the casual fans IMO. The one thing you don't want to mess with is Hit Girl. Now a Hit Girl solo spinoff after Kick Ass 2 would be perfectly fine as long as they get the same actress. That would be my suggestion to the studio.
