Chris did come back, as GhostofChrisisall, or some such, not too long ago. I saw the 'updated' date, mistook it for a current posting, and thought he'd come around again.

The Goof is social programming. Most of us are raised to believe that
we are supposed get married & have kids when we grow up. That this
is the best & normal thing to do, and we will like doing it.

You are talking about populations which DECIDE whether they want to have kids or not. Many populations just keep having kids to the point of widespread starvation. Some American inner city folk have kids so they have something that loves them, or depends upon them, and pets are not allowed in most apartment buildings. Or they think that becoming a baby mama will get them some money or a ring.
