Radical Islam is less a threat to your life than being struck by lightening. It's not going to bring down the Western world's dominance - no, by mismanaging the economy we've done that to ourselves. Nor is it a threat to the survival of the planet - though you have no problem dismissing global warming and our current Great Extinction, which is.
It's not the only horrific display of man's inhumanity to man, or the first. In terms of numbers and brutality, it's not the worst. Or the most widespread. It's not even the only one going on right now. It's not even the most 'evil'. And it won't be the last.
That's a perspective based on reality. Which is distinctly different from yours, and yours resembles, more than anything else, a panicked stampeding cow.
