I've done extensive studies of the footage from all 3 debates, and while the bulge is visible on Bush's back on more then one occasion, a similar bulge NEVER appears on John Kerry's back. This fact, and listening to the two candidates comments leads me to the inevitable conclusion that Bush's bulge is quite simply... his back bone.

I gotta thought. What if he did have a transmitter dohicky on his back, but it wasn't working. That would explain his poor performance at the debates yes? He was depending on it to work, and it didn't, leaving him all...screwed.
On another note, is there anyone on the west coast who listens to Mark and Brian? They're this talk show that airs in the mornings from 6-10 am, and they talk about random stuff and are usually really really funny.
Anyway, shortly after this news broke they aired this sketch (that they did a long time ago, when everybody had these same conspiracy theories about Dan Quail (is that the right guy?) anyway, you can totaly see Bush getting up there and mimicing exactly what he's hearing over the earpiece:
"Being president, you know, its hard work. Stand up straight, make eyecontact with the camera, don't say that! With me back in office in 05' stand up straight. Don't say that! Mr. President, don't say everything I say, DON'T SAY THAT! By getting Saddam out of power we have, now say this next part really sincerly, I SAID DON'T SAY THAT YOU DERRANGED APE MAN!"
