" remember Firefly, Joss whedeons prematurely (and unjustly) cancelled sci-fi sghow? If now then now is the time to brush up as the Buffy creator is well underway transforming the series into 'serenity' a full length motion picture. Best summed up as 'Far East meets Old West in Space', the film picks up 6 months after the TV series left off, but aims to be accesable to newcomers as wrll as seasoned fanboys. "it was the hardest thing I had ever written. To tell the story w/o repeating or contradicting myself. Whedon confessed to The Insider, reflecting on an arduous 15 months writing the script. "I never want to do that again".
So, we've got to wonder, why did he do it in the first place "Because I truly believe in these characters and in these actors" he insists. " I truly believe that these people are worth, if not seven years of a series, then a big-ass movie."

^^ This also appeared in the Australian Empire (December issue) on Pg 18.
'Yes... this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... "this land".' 'I think we should call it your grave.' 'Ah! Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!'
