Agreed. But I was thinking recycled. Either of those thoughts were too extreme for the team to go along with, so the concept of "mandatory mind wipe for security purposes" was programmed into them. Much more agreeable that way. The pretense of "mind wipe" solved many problems arising from those pesky minds of humans.
