Liberals are always afraid and embarrassed to be identified as liberals, or to admit they are.
Because conservatives are not (outside media or entertainment, where their careers would suffer due to assaults by libs), I keep forgetting this about liberals.

Obama v McCain in 2008.
McCain had a history. Obama had no history at all except he voted against the Iraq War. So the first time around it was a bad known v a possibly good unknown.
By 2012 I realized that Obama was just another war-mongering corporate shill who threw money at banks, bailed on public option health care (throwing everyone into the maw of corporate health industry) and his fake-professorial stammer drove me as batshit crazy as GWB's fake aw-shucks down home-isms. Romney was no better, so I threw my vote away on Jill Stein.
BTW voted for Bill the first time too, but threw my vote away on Green party the second time.
