Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) is one of the only other Democrats who has called for a travel ban, most loudly advocated so far by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R). (Grayson first called for a ban in July.) As The Hill reported, a new poll shows that a majority of Americans support the idea.

Of course, it probably doesn't help any that Alan Grayson is bonafide nuts, but still, he's a Democrat.
Has anyone put forth any mechanism by which this travel ban would be enforced?
How do you propose to restrict people coming in from places that already don't have direct flights into this country?
How intrusive do you want to get? How far into the background checks do you want to go? How long would each background check take, and how long are you willing to wait to board a plane while that check is being done?
As usual, you propose more regulation, more authoritarian measures, and more security theatre, all of which you've already been shown won't work.
Maybe you should just propose building a wall around Africa.
Take it up with Obammy - I keep hearing him yakking about all his plans, which we all know are insanely inept and disasterously delayed.

A confirmed case of another nurse from Dallas. This one was able to fly around on commercial planes while infected and feverish.

Hold on... isn't there a rule or some protocal that states if you TREAT an ebola patient, you can't go flying around hither and yon on planes, trains or buses until you yourself have cleared some BASIC level of screening ? ESPECIALLY if one of your fellow co-workers has ALSO been infected ?

Everybody knows that black nurses need not adhere to or conform with laws, rules, regulations, or common sense. Even the CDC gave her a pass although she had a fever before leaving Dallas.

Try asking Belize. Despite thousands of Cruise Ship passengers who wanted to disgorge and spend gobs of tourist dollars on knickknacks at the port, Belize refused to allow a Cruise Ship to enter harbor because one of the passengers was at the Dallas hospital which allowed Duncan to die, and infect other previously healthy people.

Dr. Nicole Lurie (ASPR - the office created by President George W. Bush 10 years ago) has not made headlines for 3 years, when she got caught transferring funds away from Ebola-combating medical companies (like the company whose research and medical products are NOW being used to combat the Ebola in Dallas) and into campaign funds for democrat politicians. How putrid! Nothing more in 3 years - very poor Democrat crime and crony performance.
With this new Czar, how many millions of rounds of 9mm bullets will be needed to combat this Ebola enemy? How many limos will be needed? Perhaps a jumbo jet akin to Air Force One for the Czar? How much of these Ebola funds can be used to force patients to vote Democrat in Nov? How many Ebolas can be used to Get Out The Vote in Nov? How many millions of taxpayer dollars can be diverted to Ebola to corrupt the elections, defraud the elections, disenfranchise the honest voters of America?
