I've just remembered I used to love Dangermouse too and Count Duckula - Duckiepoohs oh how could I have forgotten them...... and Terrahawks, and did I mention Rhubarb and Custard too? or Bagpuss or Mr Ben or Bod? My memories frelled it happens you know. Old age.

I loved the Smurfs and the Littles..and remember the cartoons that use to come on during the weekdays mighty mouse Tom & Jerry Woody Wood Pecker He Man, Ducktales and Heathcliff, I too also loved Strawberry short cake but those were speacials

Does anyone rememer a cartoon about a little boy who had a toy horse and whenever his mother would leave the room the horse would come alive and it had wings..I've been trying to think of the name of that cartoon..I believe it was done by the same people who did the mighty mouse woody W.P and Casper the friendly ghost cartoons Bugs Bunny and friends Captain America, Scooby Doo...or how about Jem...Jem was on of my all time favorites

what was the one with all the super heros Ice man Fire starter. Storm , Superman

and who could forget the Amazing Spiderman cartoon, or the reruns of hanna barbara cartoons, tthe Flintstones who could forget pebbles and Bam bam Yogi Bear remember during the holiday season they use to always show a Yogi Bear christmas

or how about the Pac-man cartoon that came on ,on saturday morinings

and for none cartoons, I loved Reading Rainbow and yes..Mr. Rogers's Neighborhood

But my all time favorite Cartoons that I can still watch without hesitation is the Peanuts..I love Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang...watching those cartoons always make me feel happy even as an adult

this thread is bringing back such great memories thanks

during the 80's when I was a kid it seemed we had a better variety of cartoons

Diaper Man and the Baby Brigade (at least that's what I think it was called). Babies with crime-fighting alter egos that would sneak out at night to thwart evil doers. I'd love to see one of these again.

Goes into the pile for us old folks:
WNY had a program called Rocketship 7, that aired different cartoons, like Wonder Dog (Under Dog ?) (Neither bird, nor plane , nor even frog. It's just little old me ...) and Fractured Fairy Tales. I REALLY liked Mr Magoo and Bugs Bunny, hated Roadrunner. There was a show called Discovery(year) on Sunday mornings. I remember racing to the TV after church to watch (the earliest I remember) Discovery 65. I liked some of Lost in Space.

You're thinking of several different ones:

Spiderman and his Amazing Friends had Spidey, Iceman, and Firestar.

Only Storm appearance I can think of was in Pryde of the X-Men, a one-shot TV movie that showed Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) joining the team (and Wolverine speaking with a Cockney accent, 'cause apparently, all us Canadians are Brits

).

There was a Superman series in the 80s (no, not the cheesy sixties/seventies one --this one had really good animation), though I only ever saw a handful of eps 'cause it didn't air where I was.

Wacky Fun!!!

Let's see . . .

He-Man, She-Ra, Transformers, Voltron, Thundercats (I still think this show rocks!), Snorks, My little Pony, Rainbow Brite, GI Joe, Monchee-chee's, Shirt Tails . . .

MRSKBORG, I thought I was the only one who remembered Dungeons and Dragons as a cartoon (in the opening there was a group of kids, amusement park, big dragon head . . It's fuzzy, but I remember!)

And when CosmicFugitive mentioned Eerie, Indiana, I about fell off my chair! I totally forgot that one!

As I look at my cartoon list, I wonder to myself if it is any wonder my shelves are full of D and D books and Sci-Fi/Fantasy movies . . .

Pokemon and Power Rangers in the original Japanese (One-I lived in Japan for three years, that's how. Two-I had no idea what they were saying. It was cool anyway.)

I'll just take the opportunity to plug the Thundercats, Voltron, Transformers, Battle of the Planets, and G.I. Joe/G.I. Joe: Reloaded revival comics. They rock, though only Thundercats, BotP, and G.I. Joe tie into the original continuities (Transformers G1 happens in DW's own continuity, which merges the various 80s continuities, and Voltron and Joe: Reloaded are full restarts). They all rock though.

Especially Voltron. You actualy get the full "WTF's going on with this stuff!?!" effect of dealing with newly-discovered alien tech.

Oh, and avoid Thundercats: Hammerhand's Revenge. That one's kinda horrific; the writer just didn't know his stuff. And the crossovers are kinda hit'n'miss.
