Great seriez. Odd that there wuznt a thred for it here alredy, especially considering it's prequel seriez haz wun.

I can't recall, but I would think it had been discussed here before. I did like it for most of the series, and I can recommend the first two and a half seasons (almost) without reservation (excluding the episodes "Black Market" and "The Woman King"). But I think it went off the rails at the reveal of the Final Five. There were a few good episodes in the fourth season, but I wasn't satisfied with the finale.

Another reason this fits in the "Firefly Alumni Series" forum is that Jane Espenson was a co-producer for a couple of seasons, and she wrote five episodes, as well as writing the prequel movie "The Plan" and the "Face of the Enemy" webisodes. And of course Zoic was responsible for the FX in the early going, with the inclusion of a Firefly in the pilot episode.

Ye! I luvd that! The future Prezident wuz in the doctorz office getting a cancer diagnosis and they show a firefly flying above the glass roof.

I expected this to appear in the Alumni section. I never coud make sense uv the layout here. Duz Kagan haf to manaj thredz?

No, he does not manage threads in the sense of moving them from one forum to the other. This is truly an Independent site, with users placing threads in various forums without much regard to consistency. "General Discussion" is supposed to be for Firefly discussions, but you will find threads there that should be in "Other Science Fiction Series," "Talk Story," or somewhere else.

I thought BSG was a pretty good show. It never really sucked me in all the way. And the season where they start out at that new settlement or whatever was pretty awful IMHO. I know the ending is controversial but I thought it was pretty good. Overall definitely an above average show.

This show was definitely discussed extensively on FFF.net back when it aired. I'm pretty sure someone started a new thread for every new episode on the original date of air.

This has been tops on my re-watch list. I think it managed to bridge several subgenres within scifi successfully and I for one don't have any problem with the ending. (Well, maybe one starbuck shaped plot hole.) It managed to be character driven, suspense and action, as well as topical. It had the flash bang and the morality play. I enjoyed it a lot and hope it isn't lost to the ages.

I didnt see BSG wen it 1st aired, I borrowed it frum the library over the summer in 2011. Did the same this yir. I think the ending wuz great. Most people dont get it kuz they are pinhedz.

It was a great series that I enjoyed each and every time I watched it. As a matter of fact I watch the first part of a two-part episode last night.
