Also same day as Gotham, sounds like.
9 more days.

Probably won't be able to get into this one, even though it looks like a decent show.
Not the first time we've been introduced to a team or person who has near unlimited intelligence and puts those skills to good use, either fight crime or righting 'wrongs'. It's a popular formula, which I think we could use more of in the real world. Sadly, we have far too many wanna-bees who pretend , but I guess we have to start somewhere.

From what I've been able to garner from publicity, it is actually based upon real people or events. Apparently, the core group is 4 with average IQ of 175 between them, plus some tyke who's bright and the tyke's mom, who effectively translates from them to the real world (the dummies of real world). Sounds more interesting.
As long as they don't just proclaim them as "high-IQ" and then dumb them down to the level of Big Bang Theory nerds, it has potential. Most shows with "High-IQ" characters get trapped into dumbing them down enough for the masses to think it is funny (and implying that the dummies in the audience are also smart because the dummies on TV are proclaimed as smart), and that gets old quick - except for advertisers.
Regarding your mention of good works, there actually is a well-known hi-IQ society which was in fact formed to help society and civilization solve it's problems. This has not helped much because society and politicians do not want solutions or an end to problems.

Saw it last night. Nothing else on in it's time slot? Best Pilot I saw last night, with Gotham and Forever.
Much better than the trailers led me to believe. The leads seem to be a little bit dumbed down, for the audience to empathize with, but not too much so far. All the highlights in the ads made much more sense with the full story behind it, which is not always the case in other works.
Anybody else like it?

Not me. Entirely predictable, and I doubt I'll watch again.
As for what else is in that time slot, I watched Sleepy Hollow on Hulu this afternoon, but decided I'll take it off my watchlist too. Nothing there for me until Jane the Virgin starts on Oct. 13 on The CW.

I really did lock on with the 28 Day quiz - really felt like an everyday occurrence for me. That is the sense that will hook me.

Well, I watched it and kept hoping it would get better but no such luck. May watch another episode sometime to see if they have improved.
Still unclear why the title is "Scorpion".

I believe that is the lead character's hacker alias.
I agree with your assessment of the show, but in my case I probably won't ever watch another episode.
