I actually love the idea of a Doctor Who "monster" having a perfectly rational explanation for once. I suspect, though, that certain scenes are going to be revisited "Back to the Future 2"-style in future episodes...

...recall that when they went back to the restaurant, Clara saw her earlier self walking away, then she went in and tried to rectify her earlier mistakes with Danny. How are we to know which version of her might actually end up in a relationship with him?

I liked it when Clara, seeing herself walk away, was very pleased with how she looked.
