Hello! I'm new here.

Firefly never was aired in Brazil(or maybe once in SyFy, and I just know a few number of people who had watched the series. No one of they, sadly, are "browncoats". I'm trying to spread the series to other people, but I'm sure they will not became adicts to the series like I became(and I just have 2 or 3 months of knowledge about the series...).

I'm not a fan of all the works od the Whedonverse, I don't like Buffy, but I can't sleep without watch at least one firefly episode during the day, take the details, laugh or clap the amazing quotes.

Well, I don't have hope of an CSTS here in Rio de Janeiro(but it would be a dream). Even in the Latin America I'm not sure the show was aired, but well, nobody can't stop the signal...of the internet!

I had thought Can't Stop The Serenity has been on every continent, and where better in SA than Rio? Check at csts.org

The documentary was Done The Impossible, available on DVD.

This doc is amazing, probably was what made me become an "bowncoat in formation".

At least in Brazil, the google, facebook and everything else gave me few results to firefly. One or two blogs with a short synopsis, and one of our biggest "nerd culture" websites have two articles: a short article about the game and, look that, a coverage of the 2012 Comic-Con, with the Firefly/Serenity 10 years panel.

Well, I will keep searching. The conventions in Rio are facing a sad moment, we "lost" our Comic-Con and the Jedi-Con, and the last two year was a completely lack of this kind of event. Maybe an Firefly event could be a good kickstarter...

Glad to see you found us.
Remember to check out qmxonline.com for shiny gadgets and stuff.
Does "shiny" here translate for you the same as it did in the show? Or did they use a different word or meaning in the show?

Firefly never had a official translation in brazilian portuguese :/

In the unnoficial translations, the just translate like "nice"("legal", in portuguese). ]

Brazil have a great lack of Sci-fi, specially in this decade. We just have some comicons, but nothing moved by fanbases, just by publishers and sometimes by municipalities or NGOs, but is more related with the discussions about the art and less about the culture. Interesting, of course, but we fell the lack of other things...

Sorry for the late reply, I was traveling, without internet.
