One of the greatest comedians ever and a great actor as well. Major loss to be sure. Also quite a shock.

You know what I'd like to hear?
"During the course of recording the voice of Genie in Aladdin (1992), Robin improvised so much they had almost 16 hours of material. He also ad-libbed so many of his lines that the movie's script was turned down for a Best Adapted Screenplay Academy Award nomination."

I watched a guy who was involved in that picture describe how Robin portrayed something like 52 different personalities and if I heard correctly that was just during the restaurant scene. I didn't see the move but the clip they showed looked as though it was in a restaurant.
My favorite Williams film had to be Good Will Hunting. Maybe the Bird Cage.

Wife reveals he was suffering from early stages of Parkinson's.
Other reasons for his action were floated about and even romanticized by a few, but who can say for certain what was in his heart.
He was one of a kind.
