I am with Tash here - AP was overzealous at the most - calling someone a TROLL is really harsh these days. Especially making a whole thread about it.

All his/her post were about other sci-fi subjects. AP in no way indicated ownership/creatorship of the info. A mistake was made by AP, but I feel that some here overreacted.

In addition - because he/she did not post the way you {universal 'you', no-one specfic} would do it is a bit of a - well narrow perspective.

No wonder he/she got his/her feelings hurt.

So much for free speech and empathy.

Anon, you should stay.

I am not "hating" you in any way.

I remain annoyed that you posted other folks' stuff in such a way that I thought they were your work. That is a sore point with me. But if it was an oversight or honest mistake, no problem.

I also think you should have stuck them in "Other SF Series". But maybe you thought "General Discussions" was for ANYTHING, not "General Discussions" about Firefly.

Hating? No.

Check out some of the threads here, and give us your opinions.

Sorry you feel the need to leave Anon, and I hope you will change your mind.

I do not however rescind what I said; non Firefly related topics should be in Other Sci Fi or Talk Story, not in General Firefly.

I did read a couple of your threads, but not nearly all of them. Most were entirely too long to devote the time to for me personally. If other enjoyed them, that's great.

I don't think you are a troll, as you have done nothing intentionally that I can see to disrupt this board. I apologize for my fellow Browncoats that may have overreacted a bit, but I think you will find as a whole we are a passionate lot and may not always approach things in the most logical of manners.

I hope you will reconsider leaving, but I also hope you might take the advise of those of us that have been here awhile and be a bit more careful on what you post and where.

So I don't come in here for one day and look what happens . I don't want to re-hash everything but after reading this thread and the other one I feel the need to speak my piece (peace?).

To the Anonymous Poster:

No one is trying to 'hate on you.' They were just pointing out ways to help you better participate in our community. And to help you avoid any nasty confrontations with the original authors. You could call it a good deed in return for your good deed (in other words - not punishment).

I was the one who pointed out in one of your threads the speed at which you were posting (at the time it was 8 in under an hour). This was not meant to insult you. At the time the speed and length of the posts made me kind of suspicious of your intentions. All that was required was a simple explanation, which you have since given (although you could have done without the name calling).

Anyway the point of my post is to say, please don't stay away. These are a great group of folks to discuss pretty much anything under the (Blue) Sun with. If you do choose to stay away however, all I can say is that it's your loss.

Now I really regret mentioning that. To clarify, and hopefully forever drop the matter, they were police photos from the 1930's of a terrible murder. Not something your everyday Firefly fan wants to see.

Well, I don't read the forums for a bit and looky what's happened.

To AP, figure out what your part in all this was. No-one is totally innocent.

I believe that it's not what you post, but *how* you post. I've committed this crime before and have become more and more careful over time about the words that I type (read: How people will interpret them.). I for one can atest to the fact that this has smoothed over the responses to my posts greatly.

It's all about learning and growing. After all, running away from your problems never solves anything and you learn nothing as well.

So, my advice is to stay, learn and grow. But, of course, the choice is yours.
