oh helix the scandals. Endless endless scandals both real and exaggerated.

Scandals and misogyny. Why. WHY.

Also probably not going to help with stability in the Middle East, though really I'm not sure we have any candidate that can do that. Hillary might cause some wars though, I still remember how Clinton had a painkiller factory bombed. The Clintons are also hardline supporters of Israel even when Israel is doing all the shady stuff.

I really don’t know. I know all about Hillary but until she states what she would do if elected I can only speculate. I know she has major ties to Wall Street and I am not pleased with that. I know she is a hawk and I am not sure what consequences if any that would have (good or bad). I need to see her grilled by the press and commit herself to an agenda for America that we can hold her accountable to. I know so far I see no Republican I would even consider voting for over her. That bothers me, it makes me feel very limited in my choices.

One thing I did not realize about the tea party was that they will no longer put up with the Republican Party jumping into bed with big business. I did not realize this till just recently. The press is left leaning in this country and unfortunately they stick to the money topics, which is what the nuts are saying. If the tea party really shifts the Republicans into a more equal balance of business and worker I would be impressed. I may even start capitalizing tea party.

Good question

...it will be more 'change' we will never see, but can dream about.

...Have they? I actually liked the tea party a little bit when they were more Ron Paul's group, before the stuff in his pamphlets came out.

But then it felt like they were hijacked by Glenn Beck, who is basically a huge commercial shill. And then a bunch of demagogues latched on like the parasites they are. Has the tea party distanced themselves from that a little?

If so they might get some of my respect back. Some of their policies, I don't know enough about economics to be able to say if they would be effective or disasterous. And I can sympathize a little bit with some of their platform, though I keep seeing examples of their members which give me pause.

Probably this, no change in any of the important stuff. Continuing violations of human rights and wars, I'm sure.

I haven't thought about wars and such, only the big business side of what they say they believe in. A lot about the tea party gives me pause because of the extremist elements. What I would like to see though is when some from either party propose something that cuts off some of the influence of big business, those who campaigned on it will have to act. This attitude in the tea party does come from those who believe in the purest form of capitalism but it still may work to some advantage? At least these guys appear to be less hypocritical.

I seem to remember Bill & Hil being pro-Palestinian, visiting Gaza or the West Bank, and supporting a Palestinian international airport. Also supporters of the two state solution, as I recall.

Not complaining about that, mind, that's just how I remember it. Were/ are they playing both sides and hoping nobody would notice?

Helping Palestine with various humanitarian interests doesn't mean that they aren't hardline Israel supporters and war hawks. My understanding is that the Clintons have been pretty unhappy with Obama's approach to Israel, Obama has not been nearly as supportive as his predecessors.

"Former US secretary of state disapproved of early efforts by the White House to push Israel toward a complete freeze of settlement activity" and so on.

Which is one of the few things I've agreed with Obama on because establishing Israel after WW2 was kind of a terrible idea that destabilized the region, we should have just helped repatriate the Jews back to their original homes and told the bigoted assholes in Europe who didn't like it to deal with it because our money was funding reconstruction.

Letting Israel bully Palestine and push people off their land for Israel settlements is just not okay in any book and causes further tension and instability in the region.
