In almost all cases, we came in on the side of the rich.... corporations, plantation owners, oil sheiks, oligarchs, dictators ... anyone who would provide our corporations with a "business-friendly", non-union, impoverished source of labor or resources.

I overlook nothing. However, didn't we drop a couple of nukes on civilian cities, killing about 200,000? Not to stop the Japanese, but to show the Russians that we were crazy sons of bitches who could, and would, drop them in their tracks if they tried to advance across the Pacific? We backed "anticommunist" Gnl Suharto who killed about a million of his people. Our little Vietnames adventure killed 2.5-5 million Vietnamese civilians. In Guatemala, we armed and trained the government that killed 200,000+ Mayans, creating "the silent Holocaust"

Further searches don't turn those threads up. However, feel free to look for them yourself. Except Geezer. He'd rather (dishonestly) accuse people of being "liars".

MikeR and Geezer

I'm curious if you have the balls/ honesty to acknowledge the truth of SignyMs claim that the US has intervened militarily in many countries - even democracies - that posed no threat, all around the globe and over a long time.

Because there are certainly enough facts to back up that claim. If you could acknowledge those facts which are incontestable, and accede to that claim, it would go a long way to giving you some credibility. Which both of you sorely lack.

But if not then I have no further interest in your posts on this topic. Because you seem to have no interest in discussing facts.

(what I expect is that MikeR will post something unrelated and Geezer will bail - that's their pattern)

"This is your point of view ..."

Which you seem to agree is based on reality. Well, I suppose I could google each and every one for you and post the info. If I did, would you read it? And if it indicated the US was an aggressor and killed people for territorial, economic or power gain, would you concede that the US is and has been very very wrong in a vast majority of instances? Or would you shrug it off and keep harping on how great and well intentioned it is?
