We'll see what the courts decide, it's sounding like this is going to be the incentive for some of the courts to test whether that requirement was constitutional or not.

The law isn't a hard and fast thing, and it's always changing, as you know. Frankly, I get the sense that most of this is Washington politics and one side testing the limits of the other side. I'm not sure ignoring that statute is really a "crime" in the sense that it affects anyone. Certainly it's nowhere near embezzlement or laundering money or gun running or wiretapping or other debacles this administration is responsible for.

Well, no, lots of other people in different places than this board brought up impeachment, and considering the direction of your argument was somewhat parallel, I thought that's where you were going as well.

The law is pretty specific. And Obama himself signed this law.

Obama making a signing statement isn't the same as him changing the law. Though he prolly thinks it is.

Yesterday's White House spectacle was such a disgrace as I've never seen in my life. Clueless cocksucker President parades out the anti-American Taliban sympathizer father who wouldn't shave his Taliban solidarity beard even for a trip to the White House. Then the piece of shit father praises Allah and thanks the Taliban in front of the Commander In Sheep's clothing.

And for the rest of the day the Obama ball-powdering loyal lackeys Susan Rice, Jay Carney, and Chuck Hagel are on tv explaining how this was NOT negotiating with terrorists. They kept saying how it's America's policy to bring home our POWs. But they never addressed WHO and HOW MANY they traded for this dumb asshole deserter. Who knows what the Taliban demanded for his release, but whatever it was, Obama decided to give up 5 top Taliban commanders who've committed mass genocide instead. Maybe they wanted Beyonce.

Also ... where were the parents of all those that died trying to find this deserter, and where were the parents of those that died capturing these Taliban leaders? I wonder how they feel today. I wonder why they didn't get invited to the Rose Garden.

Obama has now given great aid and comfort to our military enemy during a war. What is that the definition of again? Oh, that's right ... TREASON.

Huhh... There actually really is only one side of the media pursuing the Bismallah ir whatever thing.

Which means either the others are sweeping it under the rug, or there's been some clever video-editing going on. Not sure which right now.

It's also possible that he just used the phrase for diplomatic reasons, or for the benefit of his son who no longer speaks English. The meaning of the phrase is supposedly just a thank you to God which in English wouldn't be abnormal in a Christian setting.
