Sorry, try again. This has been debunked. Once again, you are demonstrably in error... yadda yadda.

Thanks.

Your many posts where you called bullshit on either side of the aisle. Like I said, we may disagree in the details, but the picture as a whole is painfully clear.
You are Starbuck to my Apollo,, I guess.

Well that makes you quite perceptive. I'll fly with you any time. (But tell me again why I can't ever press the IM button?)

He ain't.

How many aren't coming home because they died while looking for this coward ?

Is that the official story then. And the facts have been thoroughly investigated to determine that this soldier, held captive for 5 years, abandoned his post and betrayed his country. Was this the official position of the Army?

So those 5 years of torturous existence wasn't punishment enough for his alleged traitorous act? So now he should be subjected to a trial? Or did that happen already and I missed it? Here in this country there is such a thing as due process, remember that. I mean, we had a cowardly act performed right here in our country when an unarmed teenager was shot dead in cold blood, and that "American" (after much protest) was tried in a court of law.

Could someone explain to me how the rights of this American disappear?
Somehow that just doesn't seem American, to just label this man a coward and a traitor without an investigation and trial. Hell, we give more rights to criminal behavior than we do to someone with the balls to go over there in get in harm's way.

Strange days indeed!

How is it against anyone's " rights " to call them a deserter and traitor ?

Explain which 'rights' of Bowe have been denied him, and by whom.

This was nothing but a gorram photo op for an administration that's had a shite week on the PR dept.( VA scandal )

Oh, & Obama did this illegally. SOS .

There's two possible things you could mean by this.

Ted Cruz said it's "illegal" for the president and state department to "negotiate with terrorists." Which is incorrect. It's a violation of common sense, but there's been no legislation about that, and as such it's not illegal.

The other possibility is you're referring to a 30-day notice to congress about releasing Gitmo prisoners, which was supposedly ignored due to health concerns for the sergeant. There is legal controversy over this particular requirement. And since pretty much everyone hates red tape and bureaucracy, you'd probably be better focusing on the nature of the released detainees.

It's obvious you're trying to build an impeachment case, but impeachment requires a high crime or misdemeanor. The "crime" in question here would be the statutory violation of this notice requirement, not the transfer of prisoners itself, which is what I've heard people arguing constitutes a high crime against the nation but which is legal. Part of any president's war powers is that they are able to negotiate prisoner transfers.

The 30 day notice, which Obama signed himself!!!

It's a non debatable matter - he broke the law. Period.

The bs about Bergdahl's health is just PR spin. This admin needed yet another diversion to move the VA scandal off the front page. And it's backfiring.

Uh no. Not period. As I said, there's lots of legal question and controversy about that particular requirement.

And it still stands that's really not a sufficient violation to bring up impeachment charges. Though I have no doubt you and your ilk will try. I'd even wish you luck. Obama Sucks.
