I finally managed to save enough for the DVDs yesterday—woohoo!—and couldn't be more pleased. Sure beats the poor-quality tapes I've been using. Anyway... I was wondering why the opening monolog (first Book, then later Mal) for the episodes were not included. Does anyone know?

Most DVD shows cut out the monolog and summary for each episode, as they are simply not needed.

I kinda wish they'd include them too. The only reason firefly got one was because the eps were out of order, and to help prevent confusion of new viewers early on.

I BELIEVE you can download the monolog here if you just want a copy.

Erm...if they're still here, I can't find em.

You can get the monologues from www.wavsite.com. They have a pretty good collection of Firefly sound clips there. You have to go into the episodes to find the monologues. You can get Book's from Train Job, and I know Mal's is on there somewhere, too, I just can't remember which one.
