Yeah, you have to show all how you are so brilliant and can stalk your victim coming in for the kill with your super wit to expose our psychosis. You pick something here someone said and pick something there someone said, because really, offering some new insight into the discussion is not what you are about. Coming to the rescue is. Trying to be everyone's champion is. After the setup of pretending to offer some new truth( which is usually little more than something you have cut and pasted ), you character assonate the one you have picked for that particular performance.

Really, nothin new to me here, as I been sayin for years that modern "conservatism" is naught more than the same old better-men bullshit which was old even when that apologist Plato codified it, and not true even then.
It's also so critically interlinked with things we've found to be symptoms of mental illness that the two are all but one and the same these days.
One of the few, vanishinly rare cases where the usually rhetorical "They're all fucking nuts.." might be an accurate assessment after all.

Logical fallacy. If you're given two options... 1+1=5, and 1+1=11, the correct answer is NOT the middle of the road/ average of the two (8).
Let me put this a little more floridly- Did YOU make that road? Because if you didn't, you can hardly claim to "be your own person". In fact, you are just as defined by the road (that someone else built) as the person who chooses to walk on either edge.
Or, as an old Texan once told me- the only thing in the middle of the road is a yellow line and dead armadillos.

The answer to this conundrum is twofold:
1) Decide your ethics. What is right? What is wrong? Why? That might take ten years, but will give you your compass.
2) Look around you at the real world, without the filter of desire or fear. That will show you the obstacles.
Once you do that, you'll really be your own person, on your own road.

Personally, although I might exhibit a personality trait or two of trolls, I don't feel that this applies to me, so I'm just going to assume that this wasn't brought up about me, albeit in some sort of Narcissistic way...... :)
