I'd have to step into the Robyn camp on this one. I'll forgive a little intermittent bad spelling and unfortunate comma usage, but only so far. Some of the best storylines I've read have had some grammar glitches, but if it gets too far out of control, I will bounce out.

A word to the wise - get thee a beta reader. Someone who will be honest and unafraid to edit.

Incidentally, I did read this slash and found it excellent.

I draw...therefore I am.

Yay! Channain, Always nice to hear from someone else who wants to protect the English language against marauders. :)

You say: get thee a beta reader, I say get thee two beta readers and make them go through your story more than once. Read your final draft aloud to yourself, it helps.
I would say this to any writer of any kind whether they write for publication on paper or the internet.

Robyn.

I have no problems with an kind of fanfic, if it is adult then I guess it should be labeled as such...
but usually when someone refers to 'slash' they mean gay...
is that what you are talking about?
a pairing with two of the guys,
or two of the girls together?
I wasn't sure if that is what you meant
but of course I was assuming that M/S meant Mal and Simon...right?

I have no problem with that either though...:D

Thanks for all the feedback - I'm hoping no-one's saying I maraud the English language. I try to write in character, so if there's any marauding going on, blame Mal, Jayne, Kaylee and Zoe.

I will put warnings where needed - but let's just say I plan to be real vague and leave it up to the dirtiness of the reader's mind.
