I don't know if everyone saw this - Io9 is having a March Madness competition for Sci Fi and Fantasy, and our BDH are pitched against Hitchhikers Guide at the moment. We're ahead, but just barely! It would be sort of awesome if Firefly could come out on top through this....

Voting ends daily - today is the 16 item bracket, tomorrow the 8, etc. Voting ends at midnight Pacific time tonight! I gave it a Tweet, maybe we could all give it a little push.

I just voted in the Sweet Sixteen, for Firefly of course. I also voted for Buffy over the Cthulhu Mythos, and Buffy is now just one vote ahead. Firefly is about 550 votes ahead of Hitchhiker.

Tomorrow is the day for the Sweet 8 or whatever they call it - forgive me for not being up on my athletic terminology - so don't forget to stop by io9 and push Firefly ahead. And if you tweet or blog or whatever, make sure you let other Browncoats and other Whedonists know!

IT'S UP! And it's Firefly V Star Wars, which is, frankly, a horrible place for us to find ourselves. Right now it's neck and neck with only two votes! So let's get out there and do some damage!
