On one level, it shows how completely in the bag Al is for his lord and master, where he can't even PRETEND to he's not carrying his water.
But there's also another , more hi-larious explanation. Al doesn't know what in the hell he's doing. Often there are quotes put on the teleprompter which inform the t.v. anchor ( or host ) of the upcoming video clip. It's suppose to be a cue for the person to know when either to shut the hell up or start talking, depending on if they're heading into or coming out of that video clip being shown.
So Al reads HIS lines, and then goes right ahead and starts reading everything else that's on the screen as well.
Al doesn't seem to grasp the intricacies of t.v. broadcasting.
Or he simply loves hearing Obama's words so damn much, he feels compelled to repeat them, as often as he possibly can.
Seriously, there's no upside to this stuff. He's a frelling idiot, or he's an overly enthusiastic useful idiot.
Pick one.
