Also to (keep) reminding people about the auction we're having to help fund the Shindig.
The food, planning, and even the rental of the projector is expensive, and MOH is doing this out of her own pocket.
Bring a couple of bucks, Browncoats, and help support MOH's efforts by bidding on one of the great DVD box sets of TV seasons that will be offered.
Stargate SG-1 Season 7 (that won't be available until oct. 19), Arrested Development, Angels in America...these are a few of the great titles we'll have up for auction, and any extra money raised will go to charity.
So c'mon, Independents, help support the cause!

I confirmed the order for 45 BBQ pork bao today. We had some today for lunch to make sure this was the right place to get 'em, and I can confirm that they're delicious....

A BUMP and a mini update: I'm working hard on the shindig stuff. Directions will be up tonight on a password protected page. I will post again when directions are up.
Quick question with this update: Would y'all be thrilled if I rented a popcorn maker that pops movie theater quality popcorn? The kind with movie theatre butter(NOT the oily butter). It is only $55 for a weekend rental. If I get the popcorn maker you guys are gonna have to bid like crazy at the auction so that I don't go broke;That a deal? I won't rent it until I get some opinions posted here. Thanks. ^_^
Remember: If the total of dontations+auction money goes over the cost of the shindig, the overage goes to charity.
