I assumed you're speaking of LIVING critters. Science is constantly finding fossil evidence of extinct life. A kewl BIG one is a giant Allosauridae, from the Cretaceous. Looks like an apex predator, too.

As for newly discovered LIVING thingies...

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I should feel horrified or turned on and slightly dirty by that first one...It's no wonder I haven't seen that before, I made my kid turn around too.
