That's right everyone, Mel Brooks is planning to make a sequel to the gorram funny "Spaceballs".
Go here and be amazed!

So now that everyone has calmed down, do you think the sequel will bomb, or will it be awesome? And now that John Candy is dead, who's going to play Puke? or Barf..whatever.

Mel Brooks hasn't really been doing well in the last 15-odd years or so. But if Frogurt is still in it, then all is good.

What?? Mel Brooks hasn't been doing well AT THE MOVIES, perhaps, but he had a BDHIT on Broadway.
You may recall The Producers????

ok, this made my day.
Now I've got a second movie to look forward to, and if Mel has his way there will be a good movie released in may (not saying that star wars won't be good, oh wait, that is what I'm saying)
I wonder how much of the original cast he's getting back. Barf will have to be replaced of course but I wonder about the others.

I loved the original. I hope the sequel is half as good so I can still laugh my head off.
I still order my pizza from "Pizza the Hut" to this day because of that movie.

Oh, the producers was that Mel Brooks? I wasn't really paying attention, I guess.... We saw it on our school trip to New York last year. It's great.

I can remember something like 10, 15 years ago reading in a magazine that they were going to be making Spaceballs 3: The Search for Spaceballs 2.
I like that title better.

Maybe it should be Spaceballs 0: The Menacing Phantom Clone Wars. That way he could get all new actors (except for Froghurt, of course), parody the awfulness of the two newest Star Wars movies, and slip in a Firefly joke or two. That would be sweet.
Not that I don't want to see Daphne Zuniga again, or Bill Paxton or Rick Moranis. I could do without Joan Rivers, though. And I will miss John Candy.

Mmmmm... Daphne Zuniga! I always thought that her comedic talents were way under appreciated. Past time she brush off those skills and re visit Princess Vespa.
