I was thinking about taking up extreme ironing. Although geo-caching could be fun, too. I know! I could go extreme-iron and you could geo-cache me!

Never heard of geo cacheing, but I saw Bill Geist do a story on extreme ironing. Nutty. But then, some people juggle geese!

My top 10 ways to pass time while waiting for the BDM:

1. Read FFFn General Discussions Board (GDB)

2. Post (frequently odd) replies on GDB.

4. Pull pigtails of female Browncoats, and dip them in inkwell. (The pigtails, not the females; although...)

5. Pull wings off of trolls who dare post on GDB.

6. Procrastinate, when I get around to it.

7. Exasperate my daughter/son-in-law by insisting on showing Firefly DVDs at grandkids' birthday parties:
(ME) "What movie are you watching there, Little Dude? Yu-Gi-Oh? What are you, a nance? Let me show you Inara's bathing scene."
(GRANDSON) "Aw, not again Grandpa! Mom, grandpa's drooling again!"
(DAUGHTER) "Dad!"
...et cetera, for 4 hours.

8. Exasperate my co-workers by insisting on continuous-showing of Firefly DVDs in breakroom:
(ME) "What's on the tube? Monday Night Football? What are y'all, a bunch of nances? Let me show you Inara's bathing scene."
...et cetera, as above, for 8 hours.

9. I spend a significant amount of my time waiting for Serenity making apologies for using politically incorrect terms like 'nance', 'female', 'odd', 'homage' and 'estranged'. Okay, the last three are not really politically incorrect, but some people think they might be, so I apologize anyway.

10. Coming up with Top Ten Lists. In the words of T. Petty, 'Think of me what you will, I've got a little space to fill'.

Mostly, I watch Firefly, read Firefly fanfic, rope others into watching Firefly with me, write FF quotes on the white board so that others will ask what the hell the BDM is. Wish that it was April 22.

Yeah. Sometimes there's homework in there, too.

To pass the time to the BDM, I do the following:

-work
-watch Firefly on DVD
-convert new people into Browncoats
-perform guerilla marketing to get the word out about the show & movie.
-sleep
-eat
-watch Firefly
-post here & at other Firefly boards
-watch Firefly
-organize the local Richmond, VA meetup group for Firefly
-collect anything Firefly
-did I mention watch Firefly?
