Well CommonSenseMan, both Tim Minear and Joss Whedon said it was cancelled - that Fox wasn't going to be ordering any more episodes. I'm rather inclined to believe them.

Firefly was the first show I ever watched every week without fail (I usually timer record shows so I don't have to watch commercials). . .

this totally sucks, man. the show has a lot of potential and instead they bring out the axe? i remember when crusade was cancelled after 13 episodes...man, we tried hard but it ended hard as well. the show deserves a chance.

UPN, hopefully; TNT, ye gods I hope not. TNT is the den of iniquity as far as "non-interference" with shows goes -- just look at what they tried to do to the fifth season of Babylon 5, and how they hamstrung its sequel "Crusade". TNT would insist on more violence, more sex, less plot.

I really hate to see Firefly go.
As a Firefly fan, I feel that the show didn't get the chance it more than deserved.
I am hopeful, that if enough fans come foward, FOX will realize the grave mistake they are about to make.

I think TNT would be happy with FF just the way it is. After all we just had a sex scene with two women. If TNT wants sex they would get it.
