Badfinger was a very popular band on the early FM stations when I went off to college. I didn't know about the hangings. Out of all the songs in the world it's amazing that Gilligan chose that one for the final scene. When I heard the first chord play it was like a bolt from the past striking me.

Couldn't agree more. This show was a revelation in writing and directing, such a perfect ending to a complex character - Machiavelli would have been proud.

This show, throughout it's life had a knack for picking songs and music that exactly pinpointed the mood of the characters, episode and overall theme. The best written show on television today, no wonder it won an Emmy for Best Drama.

The "El Paso" song was so choice. The lyrics perfectly captured the mood and theme of Walter's journey - overall and in the final episode.
Such a perfect ending, with no cop-out bogus, lame ambiguity. Awesome episode.

10.3 million viewers tuned in to watch Walter die on his terms. He went home, got his affairs in order, then killed a bunch of Nazi's.

As for a spin-off for Sol, he was a great charcter but everytime I see him I get itchy.

Also using the song "Baby Blue" was brilliant! The song begins, "Guess I got what I deserve"

I watched the show from the beginning. Lost count uv how many timez I'v rewatched the previous seazonz.

My dad passed away on Sunday, so naturally I'v bin thinking about deth alot since then.

Walt's speech to Skyler, "I did it for me", really hit home.
