Ok lets say you're on the bus and on the seat in front of you is a wad of paper.

On the cover are the words:
"Serenity - shooting script, by Joss Whedon"

Yes it's the actual shooting script to Serenity and you realise if you pick it up take it home and thumb through it you could be privy to the very meaning of life!!!

...Or at least what happens in the film and how it ends!!!!

So would ya read it?

Or

Would you hold off and wait for the film to come out first?

Or

Hey would you return it to Joss?

1,2 or three ?

I wouldn't read it, 'cause that would just ruin it for me.
I might keep it for after I've seen the movie, to compare, to tell what some hard-to-understand line is, and for collector's value.
I might try to sell it back to Joss --
"Ha! I've got your script! Give me twenty bucks or you'll never see it again!"
Then he laughs at me and gives me twenty bucks..
Or he pulls out another copy..

I'd read it. Then I'd return it to Joss. Sorry, no indecision here. Joss doesn't like spoilers, and the SCRIPT is just too gorram big to leave out there. Doesn't keep ME from reading it, though :)

Id hope I wouldn't read but I seem to keep clicking on threads that mention the script so I couldn't be sure. I think Id read the first few pages and then keep it somewhere nice and secure.

I think I'd keep it...in the hopes of getting Joss to autograph it someday, when he wouldn't be mad that I'd kept it without returning it....

But I would try to lock it up so I couldn't read it, because I'm sure seeing the film on the big screen will be WAY more exciting than spoiling the surprises ahead of time by reading a script...

I would keep it...and then hide it away so I could avoid the urge to look through it. With my luck, it would get lost and I wouldn't find it until I start to move out for college in 6 or 7 years, but if I didn't happen to forget where I hid it, I would read it AFTER the movie came out. And hunt down Joss, and make him sign it.

Now I want to ride the bus more often.

I'd read it. Then I'd re-read it. Then I'd re-re-read it, all in the hopes of figuring out how he DOES what he does, so I can do likewise and have a successful moviemaking career my ownself.

Besides, reading it only spoils the plot. It doesn't spoil the enjoyment of the rest of the film -- the fantastic acting, the interpretation of the script by the actors, the cinematography, etc.

Oh, and I'd definitely keep it. What a fantastic reference on great screenwriting!

I'd definitely hang on to it (NOT sell it), but I wouldn't read it. Because I care about it.

Not like the new Batman movie. I read that script -- granted, it wasn't the shooting script. But I read it, guilt-free.
