Well, he was the bomb in Phantoms...

I don't think he is the worst choice, but he is so far away from the best that I'm just sitting here thinking WTF?!?!

And I was looking forward to the run up to The Justice League...

(I don't think much of his acting, but he is a solid director.)

What's the big deal? Seriously It's not exactly a challenging character. Most of the time you're under a mask, effecting a voice that sounds like Patty Simpson in a coffee grinder and then when the action kicks in, it's a stunt man...

Well... At least no more Bale gravel voice. While it makes some sense for Batman to disguise his voice and try to sound scary, it just ended up that he sounded like he's trying TOO hard and maybe about to blow out his vocal chords. :/

On the other hand, gonna be hard for anyone to take Batman movies seriously again after this. I mean even if it's good... It's still gonna be like "oh hey it's Ben Affleck." And I know they said that about Heath Ledger as Joker but I don't see that phenomenon repeating itself.

It's not even like I have a particularly high bar for what constitutes a good or okay Batman movie. I mean I even liked Batman Forever for godssake. But wow, that's the fastest turnaround in public perception of a franchise based on a questionable casting choice I've ever seen.
