Ok this is a odd issue but if I or most people I know try to access the web page using www.fireflyfans.net it times out and has been for almost a week straight.
But if I access the page using the ISP address instead 168.215.229.9 then I can access the web page just fine. I have no idea WHY this is happening.
I ran a tracert for the web page using the domain name and it timed out at twtelecom but worked fine if I just used the isp instead. *shrug*
Anyways thought I would let you know so you are aware of the issue.

http://168.215.229.9/ is an alternate way into this site when www.fireflyfans.net is refusing to go anywhere.
Possibly somebody playing the villain heard of DNS spoofing, tried it on firefly fans and succeeded for a day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNS_spoofing
A little history to put this harassment in prospective: On Christmas Eve 2009, fireflyfans.net got vandalized. www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.aspx?tid=41262
In May 2010, fireflyfans.net was moved to new hardware and work continued on software, harder to vandalize, for http://beta.fireflyfans.net which we use to this very day. www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.aspx?tid=43414

I posted a thread about this last week, and continue to have the same problem. Accessing thru 168... continues to work for me, and Haken, the webmaster, had a comment about this on the TAGLOG box on the home page. Seems like TWO is right, it's a DNS ( or DNIS) problem. From Haken's comment, he expects it to propagate, and consequently disappear itself.
I mean him no disrespect- it just seems to be taking a lot of time.
I wonder how many other folks are having troubles? Somebody ( maybe TWO) posted that it's been really quiet around here for a while. Would this effect the whole world, or just regional ISP's or something? I'm in Southern California if it makes any difference.
Meanwhile, just hang on. Sooner or later it'll all work out.

I know I asked several friends to check and none of them could do it, then a friend of mine in Poland could access the site. He got me the ISP number so i could use it and then I was able to log on.
It is annoying but I wasn't sure if anyone was aware of the problem or not so decided to make a thread to be sure Haken knew about it.

I can get here using the ISP number only. Using the "fireflyfans" address on multiple computers/browsers has gotten diddly.
Excuse me while I soak in all these sweet, sweet conservative tears.

Farout, man!
I was on here a few minutes ago using the URL number 168..... Had to leave, came back, clicked on my FFF.net bookmark, & it worked.
