Thank you very much for the warning, Niki. I didn't look, and I appreciated having the choice.

Like I said, a *real* lawyer would know...

Wow, somebody brought the snarky...what you may not realize is that PN is in a protected class which means that his freedom of speech cannot be denied on a private site that is open to the public from multiple states and countries.

So, like a bar can't have the 'don't serve that kind here', meaning blacks or droids...the Constitution does apply here...

For the record he's got a mental disability and must be accomdated.

Wow. So I just need some doctor to call me crazy, then I can do whatever I want?

If I get diagnosed with anger issues, I have the right to chase people down in the street and scream at them, and they can do nothing about it? I can even follow them into their private homes and scream at them there?

Anyway, "Hero"s nuttiness is beside the point.

Niki - I too thank you for the warning. I haven't looked at PN's posts, and I won't. It may be stuff I've already seen elsewhere, and may be worse, but I don't need to see it again.

I would A-OK with Haken deleting those posts. There are some events that should not be taken advantage of by a crazy person who needs attention, no matter what some doctor diagnosed.

Yep, thats exactly what I said. Word for word. Go back and read it, your ability to comprehend what I wrote is downwrite scholarly.

Yep, I wrote that crazy people can go chasing people down in the street and scream at them...because that's something anybody can do. It's not like there's laws against it. Same with your house, which is why you can't deny entry to blacks on the basis of race. Because your house, like bars are open to the public and engaged in interstate commerce thus falling into the direct purview of the Constitution's 14th Amendment and the Commerce clause.

No, wait...I didn't say any of that. Although if you open your house to everyone but deny it to a particular person due to his race or disability...that's your decision and you can be sued under Federal law. If your town allows anyone and everyone to chase people down in the street and scream at them but says that PN can't cause he's black or disabled...then they'll be subject to a lawsuit under Federal law. Me, I don't allow everyone into my house, only people I invite, likewise our City ordinances on Disorderly Conduct apply to everyone. But maybe they do things diffeerent in Fantasyland where your live.

If, as I have asserted, PN is suffering from a mental defect, as is obvious, then his right to participate here does have limited Constitutional protection. If the moderator decided that PN was no longer welcome because he was black (or disabled, female, or Jewish...all of which could apply) then that would be unconstitution and subject to a 1983 action.

Rouka, Piz and Rap, thank YOU--you made me feel a bit better, knowing my warning at least spared some those images. I don't know what most of them were because I scrolled past as fast as I could, once I realized what he was doing--and actually looked down at the keyboard as I was scrolling--but from what I DID catch, it was of people injured in Boston.

And no, of course we don't need to see that bullshit, or any of the other bullshit PN so joys in throwing in our faces. What good does it do anyone??? I'd bet a lot of money the people in any of them wouldn't want their photos splashed all over the internet; if nothing else, out of respect for THEM and what they've suffered, it should be avoided. Beyond that, who anywhere in the world "needs" to see that shit to be able to imagine quite easily what it looked like? Geez, you'd think we were a bunch of innocents who didn't see blood and gore in the movies or anywhere else; we live in a violent world, we're reminded of it daily; our noses are shoved in it frequently; to say we need to see it to remember the world we live in is a pretty stupid remark, in my opinion.

Also in my opinion, "hero" is an asshole. I'm officially "mentally disabled", and I can guarnatee you that, if I behaved in a way considered offensive or against the rules on a mental-health website, I would be banned, period. It happens regularly. I WAS banned from one, along with a lot of other people diagnosed with mental illness. In that case it was because those who ran the site (among them a psychiatrist who lost his license for sleeping with patients and one of his patients who was violent and harrassing) had a "vendetta" against those who spoke up about their mis-use of their power. That's how my, and one other, website were created, to give a home to those who'd been "banned" from the original site.

It goes to show yet again that "hero" is no lawyer and doesn't know the law, simple as that. Good gawd, if those diagnosed as mentally ill couldn't be warned, banned, deleted, etc., from privately-owned websites, can you just imagine...?? Think about it for a minute! Well, no, don't bother, it's so patently obvious, as is the fact that he's an idiot.

For one small thing, even "hero" doesn't KNOW PN is DIAGNOSED as mentally disabled; for another, it would be because of what he put up, not BECAUSE he was mentally disabled; and on and on. It's just stupid. As is pretending to be a lawyer to get some kind of--I don't know what, but it's right along the lines with having a screen name of "hero", isn't it...

Meanwhile, back to the point of this thread. The Idiots are still out there doing their thing:

Quote:

Laura Ingraham, a regular on Faux News and one of the most vile of the anti-immigrant talking heads, decided to use the Boston Marathon bombings as a way to spread her anti immigrant propaganda on her radio show Tuesday. MediaMatters has a video with the audio.
Quote:

LAURA INGRAHAM: This, in my mind, raises all sorts of questions. I mean, again, we don't know who did this, motivations, all of that. But it is interesting that at this moment -- we are considering legalizing or giving regularized status to millions of people. Pretty much none of them have gone through any rigorous background checks, to have a temporary status in the United States. And we don't -- I just think that there are all sorts of security implications aside from the other arguments on immigration -- national security implications that we don't talk about with enough frankness and I think certitude here. We can't stop every attack, but my goodness, if we had borders that were shut down and we actually had a proper screening process, maybe we could stop some of them.

mbing-to-stoke-fea/193640

Her absolute ignorance of how immigration laws work, amazes me. She claimed that the government is about to legalize millions of people that have not had proper background checks. Ummmm….say what? At this point in time, if an undocumented immigrant wishes to apply for status they must pass through a background check. This is a fact! My husband is an immigrant from El Salvador and when applying for Temporary Protective Status, the second thing he had to do, after filing the paperwork, was to go to the local United States Immigration and Citizenship Services Office and submit his fingerprints for a FBI background check. The FBI runs the immigrant’s fingerprints through their database and if there is anything to be found, they will find it. My husband found that out the hard way when his ten year old DUI came back to haunt him.

Maybe Laura just overlooked these facts when she did the research for her show. HAHAHA don’t believe that either, do you? More than likely she figured she’d just throw that dishonesty out there because she knows that her (tea baggers imbeciles) listeners are not going to take the time to actually research the garbage she is spewing on her show.

The next thing that really stood out to me is her insistence that border security would somehow lessen attacks like the one that took place in Boston on Monday. The only problem with that? That’s not what’s happening, undocumented immigrants are not crossing the border and blowing up buildings in the United States. The September 11 hijackers all followed the proper immigration channels and received visas. The Oklahoma City bomber was American. The D.C. snipers were American.

As the wife of an immigrant, I hear nasty things all the time. I read the paper, look in the opinion section and see the utter disdain for immigrants. People like Laura Ingraham help perpetuate a fear of the scary people from the other side of our borders. People like her use tragedy as a way to spread their hateful, nasty, ant immigrant rhetoric. It really is rather pathetic but not surprising at all.

Congressman Cannot Help Using Boston Marathon Bombing To Voice His Inner Racist

On Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the Boston Marathon bombing that left three dead and more than 150 injured, King gave an interview to National Review Online where he used the attack to justify his opposition to immigration reform.

From the interview:
Quote:

Representative Steve King of Iowa, a prominent House conservative, says Congress should be cautious about rushing immigration reform, especially after Monday’s bombing in Boston, where three people were killed.

“Some of the speculation that has come out is that yes, it was a foreign

Does it bother you that you're also using the Boston attack to make a political point?
