On their site, GodHatesFags.com, they claim have picketed over 50,000 funerals. Yesterday, they said the Boston bombings were due to Boston’s equal-marriage laws — except that’s not what they called the laws. This despicable group couldn’t even wait one day after the tragedy without damning the three victims who have died, including an eight-year-old boy. Westboro Baptist Church got on Twitter within hours to spew their special brand of hate, throughout social media and the world. That’s what they do.

Before the smoke had even cleared, gun massacre advocates took to Facebook to declare their love of guns and how any attempts to regulate them is treasonous. Oh, yeah, some people got killed and I feel bad BUT DON’T YOU TAKE MY GUNS! I went through the first 50 Senators’ Facebook pages to see the first batch of responses to the bombing. Most hadn’t commented yet but some did. Several of those pages had reader comments that were of shared grief and concern. But then there were the other pages. Those were filled with all kinds of rage and hate. The gun nuts were less than concerned about the dead and injured and more with making sure no one could touch their precious guns. Unsurprisingly, the majority of that anger showed up on Republican pages.
I didn’t bother deleting their names because it’s in a public forum and some people should be ashamed of themselves:

University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, who was near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a series of explosions went off, said he thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines.
“They kept making announcements on the loud speaker that it was just a drill and there was nothing to worry about,” Coach Ali Stevenson told Local 15. “It seemed like there was some sort of threat, but they kept telling us it was just a drill.”
Stevenson had just finished the marathon. His wife had been sitting in one of the seating sections where an explosion went off, but thankfully she left her seat and was walking to meet up with him.
“There was just smoke, another explosion went off,” Stevenson said. “We all started running. There were people crying.”
Stevenson said there was no question in his mind that this was an intentional act.

Yeah, PN crossed the line even for this place. I don't think Haken has ever kicked anyone off the boards, but he has hung an "offensive" tag on people before. All you have to do is write to him directly and he will respond. But putting an "offensive" tag on PN is like putting lipstick on a pig. He'd probabaly get off on it.

“I hope that we will be able to find some revenue so that Boston doesn’t have to pay for this absolutely necessary expenditure by cutting back on other important services down the line,” the former Democratic congressman continued.
“Do you feel like you’re capitalizing and making political hay of this event that happened?” Roberts asked.
“I’m talking common sense,” Frank replied. “I’m saying that, if the sequester had gone through and we had not had enough money, we couldn’t be able to do this. I’m making an argument about reality, and that’s the only responsible response.”
Frank concluded that he hoped that some people would be “less enthusiastic” about “reducing our ability to respond to a crisis like this.” Frank called the Boston attack a “teaching moment” about what Americans expect from civil society. More at

Anchors on CNN, Fox News and elsewhere speculated about the connection between yesterday’s attack in Boston and the 1995's Oklahoma City bombing.
