Only 2 weeks left to register for the Social Event of the Season: The Browncoat Ball!
On Friday, Sept. 17
* immerse yourself in the culture of the Far East at the Sihnon Welcome Party and dinner
* enjoy Firefly fun with your favorite Browncoats in the Award-Winning Blue Sun Room
* kick the festivities into high gear (but not the engine) at Browncoat-hosted room parties
And on Saturday, Sept. 18
* see Chicago Old-West style on a chartered train during the Wild West Train Job luncheon
* spend an afternoon exploring the Core city of Chicago, which gives Ariel a run for its money when it comes to things to do
* experience how East Meets West at the Browncoat Ball, while enjoying a catered buffet and dancing to a wide variety of music.

Not only are MoonMagick and I going ... we found out that the lady in the other of our three-house-party-pack, is going to be in Chicago for training over that weekend.
HURRAH!! We're hoping we can get her signed up for the ball as that's all her training schedule will accomodate!

Hey! I just found out that my company's sending me to Chicago for the PICS VIII shindig that weekend! Okay, so it can't really be classified as a "shindig," but... I couldn't think of another word for it. I didn't buy a ticket for the Brown Coat Ball, but is there any chance of wandering by to say 'hi'? I've never been to Chicago, so I'd probably get lost, but it might be fun.
(You shouldn't be wondering, but if you are, PICS VIII is the 8th Pediatric Interventional Cardiac Symposium.)

A big thank you to all the Browncoats who attended the Inagural Browncoat Ball. You were wonderful (in fact, the train guys said you were the best bunch of charterees they've ever had!), your costumes were incredibly shiny and you danced fabulously!
It was great meeting you all or seeing you again, and we can't wait to shindig with you again at the 2005 Browncoat Ball!

I would like to personally thank all the Chicagoland Browncoats for putting on a MIGHTY FINE SHINDIG. I just got back to Louisville a few hours ago, and I've been sitting on my bed going through my goodies and photographs. I had a great time! Thank you Browncoat Ball committee!
