Star Trek: Into Darkness, Predictive Programming?

The teaser trailer for "Star Trek Into Darkness" is grim from start to finish, as it focuses on the havoc Benedict Cumberbatch's much-speculated-about villain aims to unleash.

Directed by J.J. Abrams, who also helmed 2009's "Star Trek," "Into Darkness" sees the Enterprise crew facing an evil that emerged from their own organization.

As images of destruction play out with plenty of explosions, Cumberbatch's one-man terror force starts in with his ominous questioning.

"You think your world is safe?" Cumberbatch says. "It is an illusion. A comforting lie told to protect you."

And then, the warning: "Enjoy these final moments of peace. For I have returned to have my vengeance."

Judging from the minute-long clip, it'll involve provoking Captain Kirk (Chris Pine), Uhura (Zoe Saldana) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) into battle.

"Star Trek Into Darkness" opens May 17, 2013. What do you think of the clip?

Captain Kirk’s Predecessor: Star Trek Was RAND Corporation Predictive Programming

In Star Trek, the "good guys" use a "phaser" set to stun. Today's police use a "tazer" (phaser), which killed 100s of people most of whom committed no crime...

In a rare and recently unearthed interview from 1965, the actor who preceded William Shatner as first captain of the Enterprise, stated that the series was based on the RAND Corporation’s “projection of things to come”.

Actor Jeffrey Hunter, who played captain Christopher Pike in the Star Trek pilot “The Cage” told a Hollywood columnist in January of ’65 that he hoped the pilot-episode would be picked up as a series because he was intrigued by the fact that the series was based on the RAND corporation’s “projection of things to come.”

“We should know within several weeks whether the show has been sold.”, Hunter stated almost half a century ago.

“It will be an hour long, in color, with a regular cast of a half-dozen or so and an important guest star each week.”, he stated hopefully.

“The things that intrigues me the most”, Hunter said, “is that it is actually based on the Rand Corporation’s projection of things to come. Except for the fictional characters, it will be like getting a look into the future and some of the predictions will surely come true in our lifetime.”

Rand Corporation Lobbies Pentagon To Start Major War To Save The US Economy

According to reports out of top Chinese mainstream news outlets, the RAND Corporation recently presented a shocking proposal to the Pentagon in which it lobbied for a war to be started with a major foreign power in an attempt to stimulate the American economy and prevent a recession.

A fierce debate has now ensued in China about who that foreign power may be, with China itself as well as Russia and even Japan suspected to be the targets of aggression.

The reports cite French media news sources as having uncovered the proposal, in which RAND suggested that the $700 billion dollars that has been earmarked to bailout Wall Street and failing banks instead be used to finance a new war which would in turn re-invigorate the flagging stock markets.

The RAND Corporation is a notoriously powerful NGO with deep ties to the U.S. military-industrial complex as well as interlocking connections with the Ford, Rockefeller, and Carnegie foundations.

PN, I actually reach with you on this point, to a substantial degree.

But dude, you will lose me if you start equating Ferengi with evil Jews & s**t.

Alice Eve is Dr. Carol Marcus. Uh oh, you know what that means!

"Hey Jim, is that a pickle in your uniform?"

Hunter was married to legendary sci-fi babe Barbara Rush.

The Rand Corporation was the bogey-man in several movies, the most famous being Dr. Strangelove, where it was mockingly called the Bland Corporation.
