Just finished watching Firefly episodes on the Science Channel, followed by the repeat of the 10th Anniversary show. That was great since the Science channel decided to include bubble captions with little-known factoids. It gave the episodes a new kick.

But, to my great surprise, the SyFy channel was also showing the BDM, Serenity at 12 midnight. Interesting programming.

That, coupled with Joss's success, gives me hope that maybe down the line we get either a Serenity 2, a mini-series (my preferred choice) or a new TV series (unlikely).

I want to see the Firefly episode where Mal steals a Christmas tree and lights and decorates Serenity to bring a little joy to his otherwise bleak existence. Maybe if we keep asking Santa for more we will eventually get it.

Welcome, #47824, to the crew of our shiny ship.
First you get a jug of Mudder's Milk and a punnet of the finest strawberries I've been able to liberate.
Then you get a browncoat, the virtual kind which fits anyone. Some come with patches but that means only that they've seen some service.
Now you get a key for a cargo locker. Stash your stuff and make your way up to the galley to question the buffet.
There's Wife Soup simmering, hot cheese in the chafing dish, fresh bao piled up, fancy fruits and veggies, big casserole of Rough and Tumble, ice-planets in the bottom shelf of the cooler, and the shimmerwine fountain at the after end of the table.
As always, we suggest you don't put your feet too far under the table at that end, as we aren't 100% sure what's living under there.

Here's hoping you all have been having a Merry Whatever and will have a happy new Obsolete Time Cycle.
