So, wonder of wonders, the NRA came out today with their big plan: armed guards at every school!!! Whoohoo! That'll fix 'em bad guys! So the next fellow who comes along wanting to kill a couple dozen children won't have anywhere to go! Um...except public playgrounds, boardwalks, theme parks, swimming pools, beaches, shopping malls... Oh well, it's the thought that counts, don'it, NRA? Which was pretty much the response of school and state officials after the Columbine shootings. Many schools put in metal detectors and security guards. However, after nothing else happened for a few years, governments decided to save some money by cutting security.
