Welcome to all who are new to this mighty pretty crew.
Atop the Mule, which is parked near the upper end of the ramp, are a cooler full of jugs of Mudder's Milk and an array of baskets of strawberries. Everyone coming aboard is welcome to partake.
Next, you stash your stuff in one of the designated wheeled cages and keep a key.
Stop by the Virtual Browncoat Locker and let us issue you a perfectly fitted coat. Now you're looking shiny.
Next, freshen up (sorry the line's so long but after all there are by now over 47000 crew signed on!) and brave the airy-scary steps and catwalk up to the galley.
In the galley we maintain a buffet that you can question to your heart's (and stomach's) content: mangos, papayas, pineapples, bacon-wrapped oysters, 'tater salad, fresh bao, wife soup...most anything you want. The shimmerwine fountain is at the aft end of the table. Please keep your feet well away from the underside of the table at that point. Something seems to have been living under there for eight or so years, and it may be dangerous.

Oh, and don't forget to sign up for your turn at chores!

Umm, that would be me. Not too dangerous. Just don't feed me after midnight.

Glad you are here with us, KARLALUCKOW. I hope you'll find a few kindred spirits among the many crazed 'coats who dwell here. Been a while since anyone started a party, but there's life among the masses yet.

I have a nice, big llama who enjoys parties, and a portable fumarole for additional heat where it's needed.

And there is the captioning.

And (shudder) the politics and general rabble-rousing.

MUTT, I thought the sub-table dweller was DOG13 or whatever he called himself. Lordy, what a long time ago that was. Well, don't bite any toes - - you've no idea where they've been.

Hodgeberry wine for all when we open the first few bottles next week!

Wouldn't ya love to know what happened to some of the old-timers?

...out scavenging among the rimworlds, adventuring, smuggling black-market beagles, collecting scars and stories, lifting strawberries off Shepherds in back alleys, ferrying doctors out to those in need, taking cows one last time...

Bumping this up to collect any newbies or lurking old(b)ies. Come on up the ramp; you know you want to. Say hello and get a coat plus all the other perks. If we go by Lilac, we'll drop in and acquire paper brollies for the lot of you.

...and I'm postin' just to say Hi! Bun...
Did you have a swell year this year? Only a dozen or so more days 'till the suppose-ed end of the Mayan calender, yanno... Did you lay in extra strawberries and Ice Planets??

And....Did you ever fix that singed turtle?

The closest I ever came to a tagline was "Stupid happens here- WELCOME TO EARTH! (Soon to be Earth-that-was )

Yep, amazing how many things are percolating just under the surface of the 'net... We're glad you made your way through the maze to our little corner, and I see you made it to chat (not so busy on weekends, but fairly steady through the week.) Feel free to root around and make yourself comfy!
I got the key to the supply closet, so I'll just give you your Virtual Browncoat now >>
See if that's jes' to yer likin'....

Hi, Wishie!

'Tis a season of excitement, already underway and groaning with freight.

We'll be starting in on the ice-planets and all the strawbs I can liberate by around 12.12.12, as one of our number is turning (ssssh!) 40 (ssssh!) that day.

If we survive that, there will be nine more days of partying until the Mayans come back for us.

Then there will be the Fiscal Cliff.

And upon the Feast of the Epiphany my own 427th birthday.

May be able to fix that turtle myself after all, without waiting for Jayne to sharpen up his technique. Just (yesterday!) had eye surgery and am champing at the bit to get started back at the beadwork, mini-crochet, all that fancy stuff after years of blurs and smears.

I had a whole supply of taglines around here somewhere (rummage, rummage) but haven't seen them in a couple of years.

Hope your year has been a good one, memorable, productive...
...Which makes me think of a tag-line!

Earlier today I posted (elsewhere) a wry memory of what had been a painful, embarrassing experience. I found myself laughing as each nuance, each new phrase suggested itself. Then I cut out anything which would identify me or others involved and it was still funny. It then occurred to me that at the time it happened I had told my family "In twenty years this is probably going to be hilarious." I should have had that needlepointed for the wall and engraved on cards.

So, for you, no matter how bad it gets, that line or this one: "Comedy is tragedy plus time." - - Carol Burnett
