This just in, 7:00 PM California time Monday night:

The FBI is at the home of Paula Broadwell.

I wasn't aware that she had committed a crime. OK, maybe sending a threatening letter to a rival lover is a misdemeanor, but needing FBI investigation?

For that matter, pols and pundits are saying that this is a matter of national security. I don't see how. Did Mr. P tell her who the spies were? Did he reveal the secret codes for The Bomb? Was she going to publish the name of our guy in Tehran? Our cut-out with Neytanyahu? Was somebody gonna blackmail Mr. P if he didn't give up the big secrets? By telling his wife?

Can anybody offer a true national security justification for any of this? Except that he's a VIP and a Washington/Pentagon insider?

Major Paula Broadwell, US Army Intelligence, confessed during a televised speech that General Betrayus, Obama and Hillary are guilty of warcrimes and treason to be punished by death penalty for running illegal CIA torture camps in Libya in violation of Congressional law as Regie Love performs kosher oral suction on Obama's penis.

(SPECULATION)

You know, thinkin this over and crossreffing certain other information, seems to me there's more to this than scapegoating or knows-too-much, and I have some suspicions about what it might be.

It has long incensed me that the first campaign stop for american politicians is Tel Aviv, that the genocidal warmongers of the Likud party have such influence on our political system that they outweigh any domestic factor, and once the level of penetration and infiltration of our political and intelligence systems became clear in 1997 with the whole "Mega" incident on top of the AMDOCS/COMVERSE problem, conveniently overshadowed by that whole Lewinsky mess, and followed by the dog and pony show of the so-called-investigation of AIPAC, a lot of folks who weren't on that payroll started looking for ways to do something about it, not that this produced much fruit directly.

Now, with the whole 9/11 incident, a new can of worms opened not just with the well known dancing idiots, but whole cells of jackasses operating under the cover of moving companies or art students, often caught red-handed collecting intelligence on soft infrastructure targets, and some internal factions used the related scapegoating and witch-hunting in the aftermath of the disaster to purge some known cells without being really obvious about it.

So it's kind of an open secret a substantive part of our political and intelligence community is more or less Israels bitch, either working for them or subverted by them, okay ?
Maybe less so than some of the wacky fringe would have us think, but certainly enough to add an annoying element of credence to PNs nonstop ranting about it.

And so we come to this late pass, for them that missed me mentioning this elsewhere, back in October/September, Ninnyhammer (Netanyahu) out and out DEMANDED a face-to-face with president Obama after being stonewalled by Rahm Emmanuel, and Obama more or less told him to go screw himself - and when he went to whine to a couple of known congressional sympathizers, one of which was Waxman, he got thrown out of their offices.
To say he didn't take that well is an understatement, especially with their version of the supreme court loudly and publicly calling him out for direct interference in american elections, resulting in his hilariously overblown flash card presentation at the UN and followed soon by an epic temper tantrum and the Likud throwing their support behind Romney through the auspices of one Sheldon Adelson, who is a serious piece of work, I tellya...

Only they BADLY underestimated how their influence has faded, and like the american rightwingnuts believed a little too much in their own propaganda, and well know how THAT one panned out, do we not?

So... here we are.
With a president who doesn't "owe" the Likudniks a damn thing, and in small ways has been throwing wrenches in the works of their lock on us the whole time, who has a free hand to do whatever the hell he wants about it so long as he toes just enough of the line to keep various congressional sympathisers in his pocket - now what is he gonna do ?
CLEAN HOUSE, that's what.

This is all too neat, too convenient, and frankly even the accused sound and feel like their phoning it in by some kind of prepared script, like everyone KNOWS whats going on but no one can actually say it publicly and thus BOTH "sides" are fronting the same excuse.
But what really seems to be going on is an internal housecleaning, flushing out those compromised by the Likud or on their payroll, under the auspices of a "scandal" which would in most cases be all but meaningless save for access to confidential data.

Patreaus is toast, so is Gen Allen, at least one of the investigating agents has been punted, and I am sure there's more to come, but damn sure I suspect this has a LOT less to do with who's-bangin-who than it does who's fucking our country for a foreign power.

Irony of ironies is that Obama (or more likely Biden, you have NO

One interesting thing I've noticed about this is that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Rep. Dave Reichert, and apparently some of their staff, knew about the affair as early as Oct. 27, and didn't leak the information. Seems like a pretty honorable act, considering the effect it could have had on the election.

There's a lot of fishy-ness going on with this thing and it stinks to high heaven. If I read Kwicko's post right, I'm more or less in agreement with him. Something's not right about it though. Time will tell if anything comes of this catastrophe in Benghazi. I just fear it will be swept under the rug with the media's obsession over the next shiny new object.

So I was wrong.

It wasn't some mid-level schmucks ready for retirement taking the rap for Benghazi (although I expect there will be some after the Senate Intel Committee hearings, a la Fast 'n Furious), but the top guy leaving under a different cloud so there's no high-level folk to pin blame on. Convenient that this didn't come out a week ago. Pretty lucky timing, eh?

Wow. From "lucky" to "honorable" just that fast!

Spin, boy, SPIN!

I found this one pretty high-larious:

Video: Denver Newscast Calls Paula Broadwell's Book 'All Up In My Snatch'

Quote:

KMGH-TV, an ABC News affiliate in Denver, Colorado, mistakenly aired a photoshopped cover of Paula Broadwell's book 'All In' with the title 'All Up In My Snatch' (video below).

Broadwell is the alleged mistress of former CIA Director David Petraeus, whom she co-wrote the biographical book about.

KMGH-TV producer Deb Stanley said that the wrong book cover had been “mistakenly picked up off the Internet” and aired on Monday, reports RawStory.com.

Stanley said: “That actually happened and it was a mistake. And it was not something we created. We don’t want that mistake out there.”

A viewer captured video of the broadcast and provided it to Americablog.com via YouTube.

The image itself - a photoshopped version of the cover of Broadwell's book - isn't really that funny. What I find awesome is that the "news" aired it as if that were the real book, not even bothering to check up on it.

Smells like a housecleaning to me.
