[RM walks through a dark, narrow corridor. A humming of electicity is heard the whole length. When the doorway at the end is reached, a grimy, digital wrist display reads: "Delurked".]

Sometimes you need a place to drop a load. (Eeew!! NOT LIKE THAT!)

Introducing.... Host of Suckitude!!!

What's in your life that just sucks? It can be massive or mundane.

[Try to keep it "PG", except for cussing. You never know, Frem might post in here with a shit-storm.]

Disstainer: There's no prize for having the most suckitude. Remember, each person's pain is real to them. None of this, "Pull yourself together, man!" *slap*. You'll just make me-- er... them bawl all that much harder.

I'll go first. Oh crap.

-I live near 60 miles from a major population center/where I work/have friends or prospects. Oh sure, there's a few smaller towns in between, but they all SUCK! (Or they're too tiny to matter.)

-I'm in my 20's (so far) and my parents half-mooch off of me.

-I sleep during the day. I miss blue skies, and seeing my shadow, and running through the daisies going tra-la-la!

-I majorly like this girl that either (a) Actually likes me back, but is too shy to admit it (Yeah, right!); (b) Likes me only as a coworker (blah); (c) Doesn't know I exist; (d) Is creeped out by me, but is polite anyways. Or (f) Hates my guts, and avoids me like the clap. Or all of the above!

She definitely makes my brain go COMPLETELY blank whenever I have a chance to talk with her. So when I do open my mouth and speak, words will come out wrong. Then it's all, "WTF?! Did I just do that!?"

I did want to ask her out to The Avengers, but I chickened out! FML!!!, I still haven't seen THE AVENGERS!!!

LOVE SUCKS!

My suckitude generally relates to my job. I'll be 62 later this month, and my work is more physically demanding than I want to be doing right now, even though I'm in generally good health and condition. It doesn't help that I'm in Texas, and it's summer, hence hot and humid.

Of course, I can't blame anyone but myself. I've had other jobs over the years but I've never been ambitious enough to pursue some things I wanted to do, and didn't get a degree, etc, etc. Now I'm stuck at an age where no one is going to give me a chance to start in a position I might prefer, so my suckitude is likely to continue.

Sorry 'bout yer parents mooching....it's hard enough these days to get by. I don't know if your job has psych benefits coverage, but maybe a therapist could help in the "talking ta pretty gals" area?

I've just had the worst summer EVER. Crazy sick and unable to leave the house for most of it...You know those "unhealthy for sensitive" warnings on the weather forcast? Yeah, they're talking 'bout ME. Then mother nature kicks up a riot and rips off our garage roof and causes havoc with everything else...We were gonna have a nice vacation (first in 4 years!) come spring and now we'll just be padding a roofers pocketbook. If I see one more celeb buying a $24000 purse I will hurt them and and turn THEM into an expensive purse. Then maybe they'd be useful for something.

I too live in a real rural area, and we are bored senseless and just hating it, but won't be in a position to leave for YEARS.

But all in all, I guess I am still breathing, and there might still be a light at the end of the tunnel somewhere, unlike Michael Clark Duncan...who I just read has died at 54. (and oddly enough he was a vegitarian for the last three years??) I always liked that man... like a big teddy bear...

*snicker*

Actually I try to be more civil outside of RWED and keep it PG, big difference between diving into the shark pit, and having the shark pit fall on you - dun wanna visit that on them who didn't go looking for it cause life does it so well all by itself already, hey ?

Being a cyborg is only fun in a hollywood movie, you gotta hook the meat to the metal somewhere, and when that hookup is a mess of grafts, damage and improvisations, we're talkin pain in plenty - I like what I do, but I certainly don't care for being curled into a whimpering ball of pain for near an hour afterwords, nor how much booze it takes to make the pain manageable since the freakin DEA has made actual pain control all but a crime with their zealotry.

And it sure doesn't help when your cyborg bits are falling apart and you wind up in a three way fight with doctors and insurers and healthcare providers over whether functioning limbs are a medical necessity, even though without them you're even MORE helpless despite being in a wheelchair too often for comfort already.

Also not helping is the psychological effect of chronic pain and suffering and the resultant impact on personality and attitude, although in all honestly there are folk I don't feel too bad about taking it out on, almost as if they present themselves like a popup target, like one of those weighted bottom bozo dolls you can just pound till you drop, only in a verbal sense.

Of course, I am hoping to last long enough for the tech to be viable in regards to full mechanization, just pull the skull and spine and stick me in an ED-209 casing with extra handling arms... it would suck, but not appreciably more so than it already does, and at least I could get some amusement out of it.

You should go see The Avengers though, one of the few flicks that actually lives up to its hype.

Know what sucks?

- A lurker creating a thread who is too self conscious to follow up for nearly two months. I'm such a procrastinator. (Hell, it took me 2 years to write my first intro post after registering at FFF.)

- Not being able to take my work breaks in my car anymore, due to the colder season (Oh, come on! It was like 80 three days ago!), and having to use the breakroom, which is louder and makes hearing my DVDs playing on my laptop a struggle.

- Living at the corner of No and Where. My peers and other persons of interest, whom have lived in closer proximity to other humans, accumulate these things called "stories". So conversations with these people tend to be one sided, because I will have barely anything to contribute, if I'm lucky.

- My brain starting to get on a roll writing when I'm about 3 hours past the time I should've gone to bed.

Oh Frem, I had been wanting to see The Avengers. Ever since I heard Joss was writing and directing. It's just everytime I thought of it, it reminded me of my epic fail.

I did see it finally a couple weeks ago. I was feeling mighty low before it started, but.... IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!!! I felt much better during and after.

It had been a while since the last time I laughed hard out loud. That bit between Loki and the Hulk definitely triggered my lungs to compress.

I think it took me a year to post here, from the point I first started lurking. It's only recently I have realized the extent of my paranoia about the rest of the human race, but really how many times can you be crapped on by it and NOT be paranoid???
But I digress...frequently....

It's odd you bring up this thread again today. We are just about ready to throw in the towel here, if we could just figure out where ta throw it.
This country don't need a president, it needs a miracle. It needs 85 cent gas so we can all take a vacation for once...It needs to stop giving money to third world countries that will NEVER be worth a damn, and before we become one...We are turning into Mexico SOOOOO FAST. I think we need to go knock on all these crappy nations doors and TAKE OUR MONEY BACK!!! This country has taken away our most important right, our RIGHT TO HAVE FUN!!

Besides watching Avengers, I can't remember the last time I had fun. It's been sooo long... At what point does masterbation become necrophilia????

Yess, that's right... I am officially at the whole planet. And this isn't even FULL moon yet, that's tomorrow night. By then I should be at god AGAIN, or at least the universe, or whatever is standing in mah way. Sorry in advance hubbs,

I wonder if the full moon is gonna play a part in the hurricaine mess? Just occurred to me....Yeah, I'm a bit slow...

At this moment in time, my left retina is in the process of detaching. I'd say on a suckitude scale of 1 to 10, it's about, oh, ten million or so!

Gorrammit, I cannot catch a break! I depend on my books to get me through the day when I'm not jobhunting, but I can't even read 'em at the moment. I can barely even see what I'm typing, even if I close my left eye. Oh, hang on - part of the problem, I've just realised, is that they put drops in to dilate the pupil when examining eyes, and this changes the eye's focus somewhat. If I move my glasses a bit further down my nose, it helps.

I've got a slot at the eye hospital to have it sorted tomorrow morning, but in the meantime the intellect portion of my brain is having to work overtime convincing the rest that there isn't that much to worry about and that it's a routine procedure these days.

It isn't having much luck. Frankly, I'm scared.

Soo sorry. That does not sound fun at all...
My mom had one of those a few years ago, she still has no idea what caused it, but she's fine now. I should think you will be too. Get lotsa rest and this too shall pass.
Best of Luck!

Well, I've had the op, and I'm generally okay. Lots of new sympathy for partially or completely blind people, since I am one now, at least until things have healed. I can just barely see well enough to post this. It sucks big-time, but it beats the alternative six ways from zero. At least the worst's over.
