Why is Kwicko the only one who I see respond to a message in FFF?

Do not despair! As long as other people are using the blue site, you should still get notifications from us; you not using the blue site means we won't get notifications from you. And since everybody but Jack seemed to carry on conversations just fine without notifications, I wouldn't sweat it either way. I have a lot of time on my hands and don't post that often, so I feel like the niceness of notifications outweighs the hassle, but you post a lot more so it's understandable that you'd rather go back to the more user-friendly 2.0 site.

Oops, I forgot that saying "I'm back here" could be read both ways on both versions! I meant I'm back on v.2--I tried the "blue site" and didn't like it at all, for the reasons I mentioned. So I'm just going to live with no notifications until/unless Haken gets that fixed. It means I miss some responses because the thread went down the line and I didn't catch them, so I apologize to anyone who didn't get a response from me, but until we can get notifications on v.2, I'm stuck. Sorry about the confusion.

Is this a response to me? Because I totally understood you the first time, and I clarified the "no notifications" thing. You should have gotten a couple notifications from me today, even.
Unless you've been getting notifications from everyone while using the blue site, regardless of whether they were or weren't using it? Because that has not been my experience.

No, what I wrote was to clarify to everyone, because stupidly I didn't realize that posting "I'm back" on v.2 would look like I was saying I'm back on BOTH sites. Duh.
And no, I get no notifications whatsoever when I'm on v.2--it's been that way for ages, maybe since I started using this version, I might not have noticed right away. I got a couple of notifications while I was on the "blue" site, but only from a couple of people and I saw where others had replied to me but I got no notifications. I'm guessing that anyone who responds FROM v.2 won't give notifications, and anyone posting ON v.2 won't receive any either. Since I'm back to posting on v.2, I'm guessing, as was the case before, I'LL get no notifications. So be it.
Essentially, I think being on v.2 neither sends nor receives notifications. Just the way it is, until/unless Haken can get it fixed.

I don't think it matters what version you're posting on; it only matters what version people are replying to you on. I tested by replying (on the blue site) to one of my own posts (that I made on 2.0), and I got a notification. And I got a notification from Kwicko before I switched to the blue site. Are you sure you haven't gotten any notifications from me today? Not even for this post?
If so, then 1) I'm wrong, 2) there's an irregularity with your account in particular, or 3) maybe it's problem with your email? Hmm...

No problems here on the Blue version.
Don't know if I'm not aware of extra perks the Red version gave us that I didn't grow accustomed to, but the Blue version is everything I remembered it to be, and that is alright with me.

I love the new site, been using it since it was solely beta. I love the layout, I love the colors, I love the division of threads into pages so they can keep loading even when they get really long, I love seeing the name of thread starters next to the threads, I love easily customized avatars, and I love that png images and videos will display now. I pretty much always turn off notifications, so I never knew there was an issue with that *shrug*

One of the other things I hate about the new site is that it isn't friendly with my Mac and RockMelt. For instance, Niki's signature gif stretches the text boxes out so wide that half her sentences are cut off - it's not a matter of side-scrolling the screen to read her responses, it's a matter of the frames of the text box cutting off the entire right-hand side of her responses, rendering them unreadable to me unless I shrink the font size down to around 8 points, at which point my eyes can no longer make out the text (yes, I have vision issues, which are back again with a vengeance. As I type this, I'm legally blind in one eye and about 20/80 in the other.)

Hmmm. Well, I just used adblock to deal with that sort of issue. I block a lot of animated gifs just because I find them distracting, but I can also block things that stretch the textboxes. Although, I think Haken added an auto-scale thing to the new site, because I haven't seen that be an issue lately.
(I also have a Mac and vision problems.)
