Linnea Lomax has been missing for 16 days now and her family is beyond worried for her. A friend of mine is a close friend of both Linnea and of her parents and she asked that I get the word out in any way I could, so I am posting this here. With Browncoats everywhere, I figured one of y'all might see her and be able to help bring her home.

Linea Lomax was last seen wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with "Sweden" in red letters on it and green pants. She is 19 years old. She went missing June 26 after walking away from an outpatient mental health facility on Howe Avenue in Sacramento where she was getting treatment after having a significant mental breakdown while studying for finals at UC Davis. Her mental state places her at even greater risk.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts was urged to call the sheriff's department at (916) 874-5115. Please note that law enforcement has asked if you see her, that you not approach her directly. Instead, call the sheriffs immediately.

If you live in the Sacramento area, please be on the lookout for her. If you would like to get involved or want more info on the search, please go to www.helpfindlinnea.org. Thank you so much for reading this and please pray she is found soon!

I hope she just found somewhere to be happy at. Don't think I could handle college these days either...
Good Luck.

I have an online friend who works at UC-Davis, and my son lives near Sacro. I'll forward this information to them.

I read (of all places on Daily Mail???) that they have found her. May she rest in peace, and I am sorry for the loss...

I saw this on the Huffington Post, very sad for her family and friends. I hope she rests in peace.

Today is RU OK? day - a movement that encourages people to ask their friends and family members "Are you okay?" regularly. The idea is that by communicating better and offering more avenues to share issues, tragedies like Linnea's can be stopped before they happen. It's not always the person you think who needs a friendly word - sometimes the person putting on the happiest face is the one most in need.

'She had lost a lot of weight and she was very stressed, and she wasn’t being reasonable,' he continued. As a precaution, they checked her into an undisclosed mental health facility for 10 days and though she was given a clear bill of health, she was asked to return for an all day visit on the 26th. She complied, but went missing at lunch and no one has seen or heard from her since. Last month, a search team discovered a notebook belonging to the teen had been found near the American River bike trail and it was known that Lomax did not have her wallet, cell phone or anxiety medication with her. 'To take someone like Linnea and put her on the streets eating out of garbage cans ... it's so unrealistic, it can't even be real,' Craig Lomax said.

"The most stunning statistic, however, is that the total number of deaths caused by conventional medicine is an astounding 783,936 per year. It is now evident that the American medical system is the leading cause of death and injury in the US. Using Leape's 1997 medical and drug error rate would add another 216,000 deaths, for a total of 999,936 deaths annually. Our estimated 10-year total of 7.8 million iatrogenic* deaths is more than all the casualties from all the wars fought by the US throughout its entire history. Our considerably higher figure is equivalent to six jumbo jets are falling out of the sky each day."

I vaguely recall that she hung herself I think, and it was fairly close to her parents house or in a woods or something, but took a while for them to find her...

Shame to give up that early...Always good for your kids to have a bit of perspective in life and to personally know other people that live in other worse-er rings of hell, I think that helps some people...

I'm very sorry aboutLinea. It sounds like this was a first episode? Its so sad when you think about all the things she may have been able to do once she was doing better, things can get better and I wish she had the chance to experience that.

Ta bron orm.
