I wouldn't reckon that anyone of any ethnicity that is a minority _wants to be so, its probably true for people now and it will probably be true for people in the future, whoever they may be.

Well, Chicago is pretty violent. I don't know which Republican cities may be more violent or if there are any. However, there are Democratic cities of minimal violence, which disproves any direct causality between political party and violence.

The war zone-like statistics are not new. As WBEZ reports, while some 2,000 U.S. troops have been killed in Afghanistan since 2001, more than 5,000 people have been killed by gun fire in Chicago during that time, based on Department of Defense and FBI data.
Maybe it's because the wrong sort of people are being killed. I bet if the right sort of people start getting killed, law and order in the windy city would become job #1!

This comparison is strange, and it makes weird conclusions.
Chicago has 29 times the population of Americans but less than 2 times the murders. Chicago is safer for Americans than Afghanistan in terms of murder rate.
But what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?
