I recommend "blu.fireflyfans.net" without the 'e', because seriously.

Why does blue need the 'e'? Is it just hanging out? It's like the tagalong letter brother who tattles when the cool letters buy fake ids and magz and cigarettes.

Like ecgordon I've been reading ( and posting some ) to the beta site for quite a while now...I like it.

It's all there. To clarify, the beta site reads from and writes to the same database that drives the original site. In terms of content, it's still basically the same site.

My problem with the beta site is that it just doesn't display correctly on a Mac running RockMelt as its browser. When I make the type big enough to comfortably read, it chops off the right five or six words of every line, and can't be side-scrolled, forcing me to make the type much smaller and much harder to read.

Never tried zooming with RockMelt (or Chrome, which is what RockMelt is based on) on a Mac, so I'll get it installed on one and try zooming to see what I can do to accommodate you.

It's weird, because it doesn't do it with Chrome or Safari, but it DOES do it with RockMelt. I use "Command +" and "Command -" a lot to size things just right for my reading.

Okay, it's getting weirder, because now RockMelt *ISN'T* doing it! I'll keep an eye on it; I've switched my bookmarks to make the beta site my default, and if it starts doing it again I'll put up some screen-grabs so you can see what I mean.

For now, all is well.

ETA: Ah-HAH! So now it's just Niki's posts that are doing it, apparently. See below - two levels of zoom on the same reply:

Something to do with Comic Sans, perhaps?

ETA2: Aaaaannnnnd, now my own post is doing it. Maybe it's more to do with the images not resizing automatically...

Sorry for any confusion this is causing; I'm flummoxed by it, and unsure what's causing it. :(

after using the Beta for awhile, I'm a bit more accustomed to it, and can definitely see all the hard work that's been put into it. and I do have to say I like the white lettering on black background, makes it pop abit more than vice versa. One question though... on the classic you could search though blue sunroom by Genre, or Rating I believe, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that in beta. Is that a feature not included in this version?

You're actually right. NIKI2's signature contains an image that causes the text to stretch out beyond the container of the post. There are several things I can try, but not sure if it'll be compatible across all browsers. Will have to experiment a bit. Though, the simplest solution is to just tell her to reduce the size of the image she is using in her signature.

The beta site is missing features, but I'll be adding them once I have the site moved over. However, I think I can add what you want fairly quickly. Will let you know when it's done.
