Whedon: still hasn't given up on Firefly

Zeke and I have different reasons to be negative. I think Zeke just doesn't think it will happen so why get excited ... again? I'm afraid that Joss will bring it back and rut it up. I don't trust anyone, even its creator, with my favorite show.
But it would be really cool if they made a ten year reunion show where they all talk about their experiences with Firefly, talk about what it was like doing the show, and getting together again to do the movie, talk about what Firefly means to them etc. I'd like to watch that and no one could screw that up.

Yeah that more or less. Joss has been saying different renditions of the same thing for years and we can plainly see there is no Firefly revival. The Browncoat community is like the boy who cried wolf for 8 straight years.

I agree with you. Of course I would be more than happy if a new episode came out
PS: I think Firefly and Serenity will stay perfect because time will have no affect in the story since it run only for one year

For you to say that I came in here looking for a fight is petty, and a neat attempt to paint me as the bad guy. I was looking for no such thing; I'm just sick of your insulting and negative behavior. I was looking for a few moments of giddiness and joy in my day, and instead I encounter this negativity again. As I said, you do this all the time. Yet you're surprised that anyone would call you on it? And pointing out the fact makes me the bad guy? Oh right, because I'm just "misunderstanding" you, right? Calling people delusional isn't meant as an insult, of course, and it's ridiculous that such statements would offend anyone. Obviously I need to restate: Taking joy in anyone still talking about a show we love is what fans do. No one here has any illusions that it means more than it means, so your implications of delusion are, again, insulting. Posturing as though you act for the greater good, saying that the thread title is "cruel" and you alone have the wherewithal to stand against the "false hope," is totally laughable. The thread title is accurate in its wording. It references a quote from Joss Whedon that he would like to continue the story, were it possible. There is no implication that any offers have been made, or that Whedon is abandoning any projects, or anything else you seem to be implying with all your "delusional crying wolf" nonsense. You act out of distain rather than concern, behavior I find incomprehensible on a fan board.
If you hate threads like this sooo much, they should be fairly easy to avoid. Just don't click on anything that has "Firefly" in the subject line. You'll be set.

I only posted "delusional" in response to your accusation of me being "negative" (see: looking for a fight). I don't think putting his comments in perspective is negative.
So, you want a thread like this to make you giddy but you don't think it this thread is implying anything. Seems contradictory to me.
You also seem to think you know what everyone is thinking including me. That's probably not a healthy attitude to have. Since for starters you're wrong about me. Whether you choose to believe it or not. I'm not going to bother with any of the rest of your accusations.
Could you explain to me what you're looking for to be giddy about in this thread and what my comments did to change that?
