"Princess of Mars" was his first book. I see no reason for all these predictions of doom. The movie looks good and from what I've heard is relatively true to the source material. I mean, it doesn't seem likely to become as popular as any of those three movies, owing to the simple fact that "Princess of Mars" means nothing to most youngsters.

My one confusion stems from the decision to call the movie plain "John Carter." Really, what were they thinking? Isn't "John Carter" an "ER" spin-off? "John Carter of Mars" seems vastly superior, just from a "what the hell are we even talking about" standpoint. Oddly, all the posters have that sigil-like "JCM" somewhere at the bottom, so somebody in charge simply couldn't bring themselves to drop the "of Mars" bit completely. So very odd.

Oh, and MI:4 was a terrible cartoon with live actors doing all the Bugs Bunny nonsense. I hear Tom Cruise's next role will be as the Energizer Bunny. Why did so many folks love it, when the plot was absurd, the action ludicrous, and the technology wouldn't even have cut it on the 3rd Season of Fringe?

Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

LOL, I actually LIKE that movie a whole lot.

Look, it'll make its money, the main question for ME is will it have legs?

If so, then we might get a series of movies.

Initially.. I kinda want it to bomb. Think of what a 250 million $ budget could have done for Serenity

( ok, that was just mean )
