Hey all! Hope the Subject line got you to view this thread. :D I was asked to post this image here. For the last 3 weeks I've been re-creating the Serenity in painstaking detail in Lightwave 3d. Lightwave 3D is one of the programs they used to do the original show.

This is quite the image of our old (new?) girl.

Now, I have to ask: is this anywhere near official, do you work with Zoic, or is this your personal interpretation of Serenity V2.0?

This is entire based on reference pics of the TV version of Serenity. I do not work for Zoic....wish I did...

I recreated Serenity in CG on my home system and wanted to share another test render with you. For now I leave you with: Beauty shot 2.0--"Port of Call"

I've no idea what that means but both images are more than wicked. I'd be proud to wear either on a t-shirt. Now, if only Universal were in tune with artists like yourself.

Well Sean, I thought I recognized your work! I'm sneaker98, I've done some scripting work for Bridge Commander (with folks you might now.. LC Amaral, Viper, etc, on the BC bridges). I'm hoping that you might want to help me bring Firefly to the BC universe, as it's something I've had planned for quite some time now.

Its a "space simulator", open source and free, with versions for pc,mac,linux.

Its ment to be a scientific accurate representation of the universe (or a small part of it anyway :) - however it is modular so people can make models which 'plugin' into space.

And fans of Star Wars, Babylon 5, Star Wars have already made models of space ships, space stations and whole planets.

Alas, so far - no Firefly objects ;)


And there are so many models left: Niskas skyplex, the trading post ('the message') , the Alliance cruiser Magellan :)
